In the spring of 2012 we were overseas for six weeks. Our first stop was Basel, Switzerland for the World Men's Curling Championships. We then took the train to Lucerne and Berne before staying in Lausanne for a couple of nights. Then it was a night in Geneva before heading to Egypt for the next part of our vacation.

After Egypt, we flew to Budapest, Hungary and stayed two nights to explore the area. We then boarded the ship for our cruise on the Danube River with stops that included cities like Bratislava, Slovakia and Vienna, Austria as well as many small towns and villages.

We finished our Danube cruise in Regensburg, Germany and then took a train to Prague, Czech Republic. Then it was back to Germany for more sites. After a side trip to Helsinki, Finland for a game at the World Hockey Championships, we were back again in Germany before finishing our trip in Warsaw, Poland.
