Switzerland
Our first stop in Europe was Basel, Switzerland for the 2012 World Men's Curling Championships. We then took the train to Lucerne and Berne before staying in Lausanne for a couple of nights. Then it was a night in Geneva before heading to Egypt for the next part of our vacation.

Danube Cruise
After Egypt, we flew to Budapest, Hungary and stayed 2 nights to explore the area. We then boarded the ship for our cruise on the Danube River with stops that included cities like Bratislava, Slovakia and Vienna as well as many small towns and villages.

Europe by Rail (and Plane!)
We finished our Danube cruise in Regensburg, Germany and then took a train to Prague, Czech Republic. Then it was back to Germany for more sites. After a side trip to Helsinki, Finland for a game at the World Hockey Championships, we were back again in Germany before finishing our trip in Warsaw, Poland.
